Dâr Kitā

On the western side of the ruins are houses
with fronts of large quadrated blocks, and
rear and side walls of polygonal work.
This is [for ch's] common throughout the town.

The house at the extreme left on the opp. page
has a colonnade of rectangular piers before
a wall of fine polygonal masonry. The
lintels, of which one is dated in the year
434 A.D., are of unusual dimensions.
It is quite plain that houses of polygonal
masonry were built in this town as late
as the middle of the V century.
