I probably should have asked this before jumping in, but in these diaries, do you want the printed dates to be a straight transcription or do you want the dates in a particular format?
I just saw that some contributors are mostly using the format
MONTH dd, YYYY
[[August 8, 1904]]
but I was transcribing the exact printed date, along with the day of the week i.e.
MONTH DOW dd YYYY
[[August Monday 8 1904]]

Does my direct method mess up indexing/linking up dates? I will go back and fix the dates if the dates should be in a specific format.
Thanks!

Sorry this has taken me a while to respond ... all the indexing will be reviewed and cleaned, so whichever way you prefer is fine. When I transcribe I do it literally, and figure I'll sort it out later.
