Within the town is a tower, the ground story of which
was filled up. Its upper story however is intact
with arch and roof of slabs. West of the tower
is a long building with doors opening toward
the South. One of the portals has a great insc.
in relief

I'djaiyiz is a small ruin with little that is
ancient in situ. There is a fine vaulted
tomb toward the northeast, approached
by a flight of steps. The roof is a complete
tunnel vault of excellent construction.

The stone shown on the opp. page is probably
a section of an altar rail.
