Friday A.M.

Dear Kids, I mailed you a letter yesterday morning and received one from you in the afternoon mail. I mailed G. W. a box a few days ago. Hope he can wear the jacket. I'll see if I can't get (cut my finger) him a raincoat. In the army you call it racking it off. I try to stay in good with Quartermaster Sulfit I get almost anything I ask for. I will have to say. I sure get along good here with everyone. I guess I just got off on the right foot. You said you had a scrap book so I am sending you my first Cpl. stripes. My [?bunk?] Sgt. The blue stain is SOS (Services of Supply) the next I wore was the wings (Air Corps) the 3/Third Air Force) thats the one I am wearing now. I am sending

you a picture. I thought it was pretty good. I had some good pcitures taken the other day. I hope they are good. What are the boys doing? I sure would like to see them. I had a letter from [Louis?] yesterday and he was very much tore up. His mother died last Sunday. Have you wrote to Grandma? If you haven't, do so. My Cpl. called me last night + told me he had a letter from you + was very much thrilled. If we get just enough letters we are happy. Plenty to eat + good eats too. Butter every meal in fact we are not wanting for any thing. I got a new winter suit. Pretty sharp. Guess I better get going because I've got a lot to do. Write often. Take care of the boys + tell G. W. "Hello" Love to all. Mother.
