My Dear Mrs Baird

I have sat down to write to you again although I did not receive an answer to my last letter thinking perhaps you did not get it.

I am at present at school at the mission boarding school in this place kept by the Rev. S.R. Riggs. there are two schools here one for the indians and the other one for whites or half white our school is taught by a young lady from Ohio she is generally a great favorite with her scholars. I think the school excellent I live in Mr Rigges family this place is only about thirty miles from home so I hear from my folks often. I think that I am learning about as much here as I would in any other school in the more civilized parts of the union.
