you last year all I could get out of the [illegible] and I doubt if I can get anything more out of them, for they seem to act as if they never intended to pay anything more.

The family that that occupy the House at present keep everything in fine order & I think will pay regularly. The times are hard & dull & its impossible to get more rent - If the land offices had not been removed from this place I could have got $5 per month. How is it about that Richard matter, does he pay, if not he had better be looked after, for there are bad reports about him. Has he a lease & for what time.
