have wished - Oh I sometimes think, how blessed are those girls who have no brothers - Oh to toil for, & love a brother, to hope in him, & for him, and then to feel that a selfish spirit is determined to have the whole of that love & confidence - oh wretched thought - indeed Perhaps I shall not add any more - & I should not want you write to me soon I should be so glad to hear from you - wont you pray that this heart of mine might be softened - that a little faith & hope might enter in, so that I might find some repose of spirit.
