general health - You enquired after my sister, Mrs Rhodes, - She is much better & she hopes to recover entirely from the malady - but she never will in my opinion - her whole system is so much reduced by her disease, that I think she will ever be very delicate, I mean necessarily compel in all respects - As for myself, I have not faith enough yet, to submit to the tedious process & the expense too would worry me (!) & hence the case would be retarded - I believe that in diseases of the Uterus & kindred organs, that the mind must be quiet, when under medical treatment. I have been benefitted some by a medicine which I have taken having, from the result, a healing tendency - & has weakened the power of my brain very much, but perhaps you would not discover it in the first hour, but a day would reveal it -
