Much to my
chagrin I find my letter
of 4th, with checks to
pay taxes, has been
detained at the P.O. here
until to=day for want
of a postage stamp!!!
You will doubtless get
it with this. —

I expect now to
leave here Monday night
and to leave your city
at 10 am for Omaha
(N. Western Road) & San Francisco
Mr. Rose, who goes with
me has engaged berths
for both in one of the
fine sleeping cars.
