In settlement of the bill of J. Y. [illegible]
& Co for Office Desk and Chair, purchased by
you Nov. 9, 1840. I enclose Draft [illegible] 2697 of
this date, for #21.20 drawn to their order on
the Asst Treasurer [illegible] in New York, by the
Asst Treasurer here. Please from the account,
procure receipts of the firm to the enclosed
Voucher and Bill. (the receipts on the Vouchers
are required to be given by one of the firm, who
sign the firms title) and then return
them to this office. Dates will be left blank.
