[Temperature] of Milwaukee

Results of all the observations made (24 to 27 years)
reduced for each day from the Toronto [illegible] to an
equivalent of Hourly observations for the whole
seventy four hours. up to Dec 31st 1867.

The curve constructed from the preceding tables when
compared with a normal or "curve of [illegible] shows several
interesting results.

1st. The "Little Winter" in April referred to by Dr. Bigelow
in the Lake Survey Report for 1866 p.62.

2nd The depression of temperature in May and June
due to the [tardy?] absorption of heat by the waters of Lake
Michigan.

3d. The increased temperature in August September
and October due to the slower transmission of heat from the
same water, then from the land adjacent.

4th. The Indian summer in November. is
indicated by a slight swelling of the curve.

6th A remarkable elevation of temperature
about the first of March. x x x
