Frond pinnate; leafets [leaflets] sessile, flabelliform, simple, entire, somewhat orbicular, often also labate, with a cordate often unequal base veins numerous, radiating from the base, flabellate dichotomous, equal nearly parallel; mid-nib wanting.

Leaf large, texture thin & delicate; varies from nearly circular to oblong, with the principal diameter parallel with the base; surface undulate; base closed by two deep & equal lobes which overlap each other; the veins variate and dichotomize from their common point, without a midrib.

Cyclopteris Elegans

Leaves nearly orbicular, the lobes of the base converging and embracing the stem, and the point of attachment being nearly central; entire or slightly undulate in outline; nerve very distinct, deeply marked, radiate and dichotomous from the base where they are thickened, arched. Leaves thin, nerves sharp.
