Greenstone river, a branch of the St. Croix from the east that enters near the head of the St. Croix lake.

Grosse Roches (The Great Rock)- a noted point on the St. Louis river.

Greenfield P.O. Milwaukee Co.

Greenfield, a town in Milwaukee county embracing the survyed township number six in range twenty one. It was at first called Kinnickinnic. It is drained in different directions by Root river, Kinnickinnic, and by Ordorff's creek. In the north east part of this town are some extensive Indian fields, which have been cultivated for a great number of years, and which are now partially or wholly destitute of timber.
