p. 586Labelle Lake, the lower of the group of Oconomowoc Lakes in Milwaukee county, two miles in length and one mile wide. Its western extremity is only one and a half miles from Rock river; which is here fifteen feet and seventy hundredths lower than the Lake, and the dividing ridge is twenty four & seventy nine hundredths feet above the surface of the Lake, as ascertained by leveling. A town has been laid out on this lake called Oconomowoc. Circum- 6 m. 13 ch- L. 2 m 40 ch- width 1.m 20ch.- 1300 acres area or 2 m.20.a Labraugh Lake or Beaver one of the Oconomowoc group of lakes in Milwaukee County, lying half a mile east from Chenegna or Pine Lake, into which it discharges its waters. It is about a mile long from east to west and half a mile wide. Perip.- 3 m 20 chains -Length 83 ch- width 69 ch. area 423 acres. L'eau Claire- a branch of [St. Croix] Chippewa from east (Bronson No 2) Lac La Biche or Elk Lake. See Itasca Lake. La Croix (Lac Deda Croix) See St. Croix Lake.
