Marquette, a town the seat of justice of Marquette county, situated on the Puckaway Lake. A company was incorporated in 1838 to construct a canal from this place to Dekorra on the Wisconsin river.

Marais de St. Friole, an area of the Mississippi, separating the new town at Prairie du Chien from the old village.

Martins Creek, a small branch of the East Twin river in Brown county, about seven miles in length. It enters the river in town twenty one, range twenty four.
