Pelican Island, a small island in the Winnebago Lake near the source of the Mississippi.

Pemence (Elbow) Falls on the Menomonee river of Green Bay next below Sturgeon Falls, so called from a crook in the river just below. Capt. Cram reports the total fall to be only eight and eighty four hundreths feet in a distance of eight hundred and thirty three feet, exclusive of a short rapid immediately above the principal chute, the least width for the passage of the water is fifty feet.

Penette (Great) river- See Newandag-the Indian name of this river.

Penette Lake a small lake from the source of the Great Penette or Nenadag river.
