Miss Julia A. Lapham,
Oconomowoc, Wis.
Dear madam:
Many thanks for your favor of the 17th instant with copy of the subscribers to the first Public Library, April 6, 1846. I will preserve this with a great deal of interest. This list contains the many names of those long passed away, and that I have personal recollection of. I should have answered you earlier, could I have had the assistance of a stenographer. (Been home for 4 months-sick).
Very truly yours,
John M. Pereles.
