Mrs. Freida Voight 3059 N. Maryland Ave. Milwaukee, Wis.

Dear Mrs. Voight:

We see where county supervisor Isaac "Freedom Now" Coggs was briefly jailed on a bad check charge. He, of course has been in trouble several times before. This wasn't the first time.

Coggs can't even supervise himself. Several weeks ago without our permission he put a political poster on our private premises and invaded our privacy. He nailed this poster - at night - high above one of our store-front windows. Using a ladder and the loud noise from the hammering disturbed us two sick people and got on our nerves. Needless to say, he had no more right to nail a sign on our home than we would have to nail a similar sign on his home. This the man who is demanding that the mayor fire the chief of police. He has so many faults of his own that he isn't fit to find fault with anybody else. We certainly didn't endorse him. We're not that crazy. Milwaukee Metro News printed our pictures as well as my letter relative to our recent beating and robbery by two negro hoodlums - who nearly killed us. They crippled me and I'm walking...

...with the aid of a cane. Being a VA cancer patient wasn't bad enough. Our lawyer didn't do a thing for us; in fact, he double-crossed us and we are now seeking an honest and ethical attorney - if there is such a thing left in this crooked world. Our lawyer was supposed to investigate the handling of our case by the office of the District Attorney and to advise us the result of aid investigation but failed to do so. Everybody is laughing about the fabricated story that the negro suspect "found" part of our stolen money on a tavern floor. They still have not told us in what tavern the money was supposedly found by the suspect, nor the name of the suspect.

Sincerely yours, Frank Evans

Frank Evans C-42517 (VA Cancer Patient)

Dear Mr. Mayor: -copy-

This is to inform you that shortly before last summer's local negro riot, looting, shooting, death and destruction - mayhem and murder - which euphemistically had been defined as a "civil disorder" as well as asininely attributed to "white racism" - the writer...

...a 65-year old permanently and totally disabled World War I veteran - and cancer victim - who tall and strong for my age - had enlisted at the tender age of fourteen - with an 8th grade education - and was a slum-dweller at the time - in the Chicago Stockyards district - and while attending school had holes in my shoes - and no hot lunches or any other handout - had been scheduled for surgery (colostmy) at the VA Center, Wood, Wis., and fully intended going to the hospital but the insurrection which was imminent interrupted my plans. "Father" James Groppi who has a private "commando" army of his own was instrumental in starting the riot. He has done many rotten things in the name of religion. Who have Groppi the authority to have a private army of his own - or was this a...
