Bounty on Rats Called a Danger A plan to put a 5c bounty on rats was placed on file by the common council's health-traffic committee Monday after Ald. Vel R. Phillips said the proposal might endanger children.

Just when are you and Groppi (I'm a Roman Catholic and cannot call him Father) going to come out from behind little children and face adults face to face? You both are child-like in your actions and speech. Ever listened to yourselves on T.V. ???? Which of you, put them up to the un-excusable acts in the Mayor's Office (that was the straw that broke the camel's back) or did the little innocent ones just happen to have knives and other objects along to destruct with and even kill if need be?

Now as to rats, all summer long some of your two legged ones could have almost cleared

out the four legged ones with a lot of help of those of us on the other side. Money and aide would gladly have been forth-coming and you two, would have gotten your same idea across. But as one mayor of another city said, they are too dammed lazy to work have to save their energy for marching! If we would cut off all this easy relief, (and it's coming) we can't stand (taxpayers) this load much longer, and yours have to take any work, or starve, they'll get on the ball and raise themselves up.

How many would go miles a day to "pluck" chickens as my late mother did during our school years or go on gov't. work projects as my dad did.
