To The Govenor of the State of Wisconsin
Whereas John A Stirrit was duly elected
Supervisor of the first District in the cou
nty of Pierce and State aforsaid and
received in due form of Law his certif
cate thereon for the election duly held in
November 1866 - and that afterwards
and in due time the said Sterrit did
make his Bond and Oath of Office in
time required by law and filed the
Service as he was advised to do by the
Clerk of the Board of Supervisors & J C Button Dist Atty for said Co - with
Said clerk, whereas the service should
have been filed with the clerk of the
Circuit court for said county
Whereupon a vacancy has ocurred
in Said Board of county Supervisors
And the six [elesiyucd?] Electors of Said
District would petition Your Honor
to appoint the Said John A Stirrit
to the office of Supervisor of the first
District of the county of Pierce & your
Petitioners will ever Pray
