To the Honorable Senate and Assembly.

The undersigned citizens of Madison and vicinity would respectfully represent that a great portion of the citizens of this place are destitute of a convenient place of public worship. They would therefore ask your honorable body to pass "such resolution as may seem best calculated to favor your petitioners with the use of the Supreme Court room during the coming season, under such regulations as may be advisable.

And for which your petitioners will ever pray.
