The journey to Stockholm was delayed in order to
visit the King, the appointment having been made
by Mr. Pearce for Saturday morning. We had a
half hour's visit and "His Majesty" demonstrated
that he had read the papers and knew all
that I had been doing. He seems a very
democratic sort of King
