The next morning Friday we were dressed at 8 and were ready to start. Our guide Ah Kow had been with us in the afternoon the day before, the manager of the hotel protesting with us about going without one. This morning we arranged to do sight seeing and we went first to the Temple of 500 [Genie?]
We did not visit the Honam Temple or the [illegible] Monastery where a valuable relic in the form of a toe nail of Buddha is kept. We next went to the temple of the five [Genie?]
We also visited the [Flowery?] Pagada so called because it is "as beautiful as a flower. It is nine stones high and looks exactly the pictures of pagodas. This one is not from Canton.
