Mr. [Poppleton?] or Senator [Maniterson?} speak in the evening of the Opera Home. I feel that Miss Anthony is very uncertain & I know my capacity to speak is doubtful. I cannot stand to speak even five minutes & my voice is very husky. It has always been a pitiful sight to me when old people lay superfluous on the stage

Dear Clara, My son sent you a package of twenty five books today. You need not pay for them until sold. The express was only forty cents we will pay half. I see the discussion in Washington Star The Women's bible is the most happy title that could have been selected. I am sure of that. (over)
