whole quarter of the time from a tribute [organization?]- & have an extremely high regard for M Lewis and for M Olin. I am not acquainted with M. Buther-& am afraid this regard for M is not sufficient for me to try to write them & my way of thinking, & have thought a great deal about this new Library-and I have felt very eager about the Art establishment that I [see?] sustained is to be attached with it. I find that the ball has been [all?] working? in that direction but in a modest way that presently will gather as a humble does. And as time goes on we may hope for a mention of tribune, of but that will be a credit and that in its way will be elaborating? in the community first as the books are-If my dear husband were only here to put his shoulder to the wheel I believe he [does?] help, as his judgement [illegible] good as a rule-And he is willingly [found?] hands with his fellow citizens- their work for the improvement of the times-But as I have lived before The [giving?] is dead-long live the [giving?] and [working?]
remembers that there is a [form?] old Susan who drops out of everything-not that I liken my old [friend?] Susan God forbid-If I were at home women & would take a thread-and whisper in the ears of the Journ, that be-to fall in decide upon the good side- the [thing?] is for all [times?] have the best there is-& am arduous that every body will be more satisfied in the end, but this moment & think what an individual my husband and I were in the Historical Library building-And how we tried to help and then again to him more than almost any one else the M.W. bore their good fortune in being the publishers of Camp Randall-how that is not lost on them. I should be glad to have the new Library [illegible] when it would stand out [completions?] as an amount to our beautiful city-I believe & have [lived?] all this to from [illegible] grumble it out all on again. Sally? ashes? [??] to thank you for the charming book [four?] [hundred?]
