State of North Carolina, Granville County. Inferior Court, January Term 1880
This is to certify that at the January Term of Granville Inferior Courts began on the 3rd Day of January 1880. Berry Yancey, colored, was duly tried for "Burning Tobacco Barn," and convicted of the same. It was adjudged by the Court that the said Berry Yancey be confined in the State's Prison for the span of Ten (10) years.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my name and affixed the Seal of my office this, the 12th day of January 1880

This is to certify that at its January Term of Granville Inferior Court begun on the 3rd day of January 1880-Alexander Cooper, colored, was duly tried for "Burning Tobacco Barn" and convicted of the same. It was adjudged by the Court that the said Alexander Cooper be confined in the States Prison for the space of Ten (10) years.

This is to certify that at its January Term of Granville Inferior Court, begun on the 3rd day of January 1880 Ben Wilson, colored, was duly tried for Larceny and convicted of the same.
It was adjudged by the Court that the said Ben Wilson be confied in the States Prison for the space of three (3) years.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto signed my nsame and affixed the seal of my office, this the 12th day of January 1880.
