Pres. Woodruff. Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dear Brother: In answer to the call made of me to fill a mission in the Southern States I will say: I called on Pres. Jos. F. Smith and, having stated my circumstances, he advised me to wait one year.

However, he said if my circumstances should develope so as to permit me to go at the appointed date I might do so.

This being the case, I will, with the help of

God, be ready to leave Salt Lake City at the date appointed. Viz: June 29, 1895.
