Once you sign up for an account, a transcribe tab will appear above each page.

You can begin or edit transcriptions by modifying the text entry field ("transcription box") and saving. Each modification is stored as a separate version of the page, so editors can restore older versions if needed.

Registered users can also add notes to pages to comment on difficult words, suggest readings, or discuss the texts.

Subject linking will be completed by staff members following initial transcription. At the crowdsourcing transcription stage, only transcriptions are needed (not subject linking). Do not click "Autolink." Thank you!
