We enclose a letter from Bp A. O. Inglestrom of the Basalt Ward for your consideration. And will be very pleased to have you advise as to what answer we may make to the [[illegible]] As we have never had such a case come to our attention before. We have been down to what is he owns as the Grover branch situated above 30 miles South and West from Blackfoot on the opposite side of the river. And have selected a man by the name of Geo. Y. Legmire for Bp. Bro Legmire is a man about 30 or 32 yrs. of age and came from Beerlake country. And we believe he will make a good Bp. He will be in attendance at our next quarterly Conference and can there be set apart by those holding authority in attendance as some

We found in this section of country 37 families And there is land enough in that country to support several hundred and the great draw back at present is the lack of water. There is [illegible ]under construction which is calculated to cover this land. This is known as the peoples canal and is being constructed principally by Latter DaySaints. We think that all energy assistance and encouragement should be lent towards securing this land for our people. Kindly return Bp. Inglestrom's letter. I am as ever
