I wish you would have Pvts
Smith, Kuhen, & McDaniel of my Battery
ordered back to the Company as soon as
possible. they have been absent in year herding
Artillery horses for all the Lt Batteries and I
do not think is proper for me to furnish herders
for the whol Battalion. I will have seventeen
men in Confinement for mutinous conduct
who will not be for duty (I presume) at least
six month which renders my Battery allmost
inefficient. Not having enough men to perform
Guard duty

Enclosed please find the Consolidated
Morning Reports for the 8th & 6th T. F. Batteries for the week ending
March 11th 1865. I also enclose a Special Requisition for
Two Mules, and a Wagon. as the wagon on hand is totally unfit
for service, and the mules are required to make up the
required complement. The blanks for the Consolidated Morning
Reports are also exausted, and a further supply will be
thankfully received by Your Obedient Servant
