In compliance with Genl Order
No 143. Please find inclosed List of Shoemakers in
Battalion Light Artillery at Galveston Aug 10th 1864
and would respectfully state that these men are
constantly employed in repairing Shoes &c for the
two Companies and owing to the small amt of shoes
issued It would be almost impossible to despense
with their services without materially inferreing
the Companies
