Having written some three or four letters without securing any answer, I am anxious to know the ans I sent you on one occasion one hundred Dollars but have received no acknowledgement, The yellow fever is getting much better one man only having died, Pvt Kleman, who died last Sunday morning, all the balance who was sick are now out of danger you will therefor make the necessary arrangements to start for this place by the 1st of next month, November, Lieut McConnel will join you in your camp. If any of the men are sick you can send them by Rail Road Try and collect ll the winter clothing possible for your men as I ahve nothing but Shoes to furnish them, I shall expect to see you heare by the 5, or 6th of Nov as all danger will be over by that time

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of clothing for Wilke's Light Battery which I found correct and am very much obliged for your kind attention as the men required the articles very much enclosed Please find receipt for the same, also Special requisition for clothing for my Company. My last requisition called for 103 Shirts and the same amount of Drawers but I only received 50 of each You will confer a great favor by sending the article specified in the requisition as soon as possible I have been informed you have some grey cloth if so please send me the allowance. I require it very much.

Yours of the 10th inst has come to hand and contents noticed I am sory Jones and more have Deserted and that Jones took a horse with him but it is useless to go after him now if you had followed him immediately after he left you might have got the horse back As he was no account and could not travel fast in regard to furloughs for your men I can do nothing until your Arrival then the men will receive them in their propper time Miller I will give a furlough to so soon as he arrives I will expect you here in Compliance with my last letter by the 5th or 6th of next month without fail as there will be no danger from the fever then I wish you would send Corporal Herbt to me on receipt of this as his services are absolutely necessary to repair harness &c (Send him by Railroad) the letter enclosing came to Private Riches I sent him in the Hospital and in this take the liberty to Congratulate you on your marriage and desire to know if you will bring your wife with you hoping to see you by the 5th or 6th. And that you will try and get the men all the Clothing you can
