motion stirred in our hearts by "the Baby's" words,
there arose yet another speaker, and for him we
had a well-prepared ode to be sung in uni-
son by our Choir; but when he stood up for to
speak our tongues clave to the roof of our mouths
and the song died unborn, for there, with his
fair hair glistening 'neath the gaslight stood
our dear little dimpled darling - our "Cher-
ub", our "Willie-boy", who in his sweet lisp-
ing way told us that we were no longer
Freshmen, but "Gentlemen of the First Year"
and that he hoped we would become a
credit to Huron College by zealously observ-
ing its Laws and Traditions - just as the
present Seniors do (?)
