Hon. J.P. Tumulty,
Secretary to the President,
The White House, Washington, D.C.

My dear Mr. Secretary:

Your letter of the 19th instant requests that we
communicate with you again on the President's return.
We are thankful for his safe arrival again in Anerica.

As our former letter stated, we are quite aware that
the President's time in Washington will be entirely
occupied. But on behalf of 12,000,000 of his colored
fellow citizens we ask for only ten minutes of his pre-
cious time to extend him words of Welcome Home, and
express our approval for his worthy and laudable efforts
as chief participant in the creation and establishment
of a League of Nations by which WARS shall cease. We
shall present to him a Petition also.

Kindly notify us at your earliest convenience when
can the Committee call. I beg to remain, dear Sir,

Very sincerely yours,
D. N. E. Campbell
Secretary International Uplift League.
