February 18, 1918.

Mr. Erving Winslow
202 Prospect Street.
New Haven, Conn.

My dear Mr. Winslow:

I have your letter of February 10th. I shall
take the liberty of forwarding it to the President for
his perusal in accordance with your wish.

As far as my own opinion is concerned, I
think that anarchism is much easier fought when it is
left to fight in the open than when it is forced into
secret places for impressionless views and for the
organization of its forces.

I am, with every expression of regard,

Very truly yours,
