10 West 54th Street, New York.

My Dear Mr Moffatt:

Your letter of March 20th has just been received. I am sorry to say that I have no photographs of the varsity crews otherwise I should send them to you. Nor have I any of the track teams of the years you mention. It is possible that you may get them from Frank D. Alexander of '75, who has a lot of Princeton memorabilia. I don't know his address.

As for the article on boating at Princeton, I would refer you to William Allen Butler '76, or to Benjamin Nicoll '77. Either of them could tell you far more than I can. I was president of the boat club for one year, but have nothing of interest to write.

Butler managed the finances and Nicoll was captain of a winning freshman crew as well as stroke and captain of a varsity crew which was defeated badly. That was when Parmly who rowed no.5. or 4. fainted during the first mile, at Saratoga.

I am sorry to respond as poorly to your request.

Yours very Sincerely

Archibald Alexander
