Mch 29th 1901

My Dear Mr Moffat,

Answering yours of the 28th I would say that Barker up to the Yale game was considered the regular half, but owing to injury was unable to play John previous to the time that Moffat decided to play was full back on the regular team but was made substitute on that account.

Yet it seems to me that it was [customary?] to have the team decided as is was in the Yale & Harvard games. Barker played at Harvard and would have been in the yale game but for injury. I should consider him the regular half. John can satisfy himself with his place on DeCamps team.

This is the first communication I have received from you. I will go to Parks and see if I can get an old picture.

Sincerely Yours Clinton W. Bird
