My dear Sir:

Your favor of yesterday at hand this a.m.

I regret very much, you have not been able to get a.h. some one, who has, or knows of the score-books, covering the ball career of the time I was at College. Had you communicated with me earlier, - I would have endeavoured to hunt up some more specific data for you - and it is not atall strange that there should be such a lack of consensus of opinion or recollection, in the absence of something more reliable than fickle memory, after such a lapse of time - The Captains were changed several times, while I was there. Mann '72 was right about my soubriquet being "Capt" and perhaps he is also right about my not being Captain in June 72 the month of our graduation. Dr Pell was on the team then and I was under the impression that he was captain at that time, as I wrote you.- I generally found, and its universally so, I believe, that underslassmen have better recollections of their Seniors than of their juniors and if Pell '73 says I was Captain, Sep 71 - Jun '72, I have no reason to dispute it - and most assuredly no disposition or desire to rob any one else of the honor.- If I am not mistaken Geo Mann '72, was also Captain for a time, and it may be he was at that time I distinctly remember of being urged & solicited personally to become Captain and declined several times before I was.- Sorry not to be able to Enlighten you more

Hastily & truly YrsT. Kell Bradford
