Dad and I are just back from a short drive up the River Road. It was to dusty to be very enjoyable.

I am having such a time with eyes. They feel all puckered and ache so. I cant think what can be the matter with them unless I am getting the pink eye. You know the Roberts have just had it.

Ralph went up to the Island with Lucy tonight for supper. He is certainly very far gone on that

girl, I am sorry to say. Mother told him to-day but Lucy could wind him around her finger & he didn't deny it. Nell Campbell was just to say good-by to us. Mrs Pancake & Romney has invited her over to s[p]end a couple weeks. Nell is tickled to death. I am glad she has had the chance for a little visit. I saw Helen Mac'H to-night. She looks better than I have seen her look for ages.

Do you know that A.C.A. man hasn't arrived yet and I understand the school was advertised to begin on the 15th Monday. About the 20th of Oct there will be a church meeting in Delaware at Wilmington. Would it be nice if father could go over to Princeton to see Wilson's inauguration (Oct. 25). I suppose Father will rec'd an invitation. Mother & I are beginning to count the
