Sir: The following telegram has been this day sent you:
Balances special appropriations for Light Houses to not revert on thirtieth June. Few appropriations are now available.

Sir: OF the appropriations made for works for your District by the Act of March 3rd 1871, there now remains in the Treasury only a balance of $23,628.56 on account of Cape Foulweather light-station, Oregon 1871-72.
