13 Strong to fresh breeze S.E. to South these 24 hours with rain. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day.

14 Fresh to moderate breeze South with rain first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light South wind dry. Sea quite smooth. General duties for day.

15 Moderate breeze to light S.E. to South wind these 24 hours fair weather during 24 hours. Sea moderately smooth. General duties for the day. Steamer Willamette Valley sailed today. Keeper went to Newport. Had 1 visitor.

16 Moderate breeze to light wind S.E. to South with rain first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light wind to moderate and fresh breeze S.W. with frequent rain squalls. Sea rough. Keeper & 2nd asst getting lice off of the hens and cleaning the hen roosts. Keeper Frank M. Plummer went to Newport to get the news about the Maggie Ross that was towed into Yaquina and make out the Wreck report about it. Keeper Frank M. Plummer left the station at 1P.M.

17 Fresh breeze to moderate and light wind S.W. to S.E. these 24 hours first part of 24 hours rain showers last part of 24 hours fair weather. Sea quite rough. General duties for day. 2nd asst putting dressing on his garden. Keeper returned to the station at 1 P.M. I understand that there is a great ammount of lumber coming ashore on the beach south of Yaquina bay. Mr. Edward Rice went to Newport left the station at 3P.M.

18 Light S.E. wind with fair weather during first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light to moderate and fresh breze S.E. to S. & S. W. with rain. Sea quite smooth. General duties for day.

19 Light S. to S.W. wind with rain & hail showers first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light to moderate and fresh breeze N.W. with rain & hail squalls. Sea quite rough. General duties for day. Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport.

20 Moderate N.W. to fresh breeze South to S.West and West these 24 hours with rain most of 24 hours. Sea rough. General duties for the day. The barometer is 30 and 4/10.

21 Strong West to N.W. breeze with rain and hail squalls first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light South wind light rain showers. Sea very rough. General duties for day. Keeper & 2nd asst makeing a trap door in hen house.

22 Moderate breeze S. to S.W. with rain first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours fresh breeze to a gale S. to S. W. rain hail thunder & lightening. Sea very rough. General duties for day. Keeper went to Newport to take the mail. Left station at 9 A.M.

23 Fresh breeze to a gale W. N. West these 24 hours with frequent rain & hail squalls. Sea very rough. General duties for the day. Keeper returned to the station at 1 P.M. Steamer Willamett laying off to rough to enter Yaquina.

24 Strong breeze N. West to light North wind with frequent rain & hail squalls first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light N. to East wind clear and cool weather. Sea little rough. Steamer Willamett crossed bar today. Keeper went to Newport. General duties today. 2nd asst went to Newport to spend cristmas. Left at 10 A.M.

25 Light E. to S.E. wind first part of 24 hours with light hail & snow. Last part of 24 hours Gale South rain. General duties. Sea rough.

26 Heavy Gale S.E. to South with rain these 24 hours. Sea very rough. General duties for day. Barometer 29.70 at 3 P.M.

27 Gale to fresh breeze S. to W. and S. West first part of 24 hours with frequent rain & hail squalls. Last part of 24 hours moderate breeze S.W. showery. Sea rough. General duties for the day. 2nd asst returned to the station at 1P.M.

28 Fresh breeze S. West to light S.E. wind with hail & rain squall first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours rain & Gale from the S.E. to ???. Sea very rough. Keeper putting new stove pipe in Oil room stove. 1st asst went to Newport.

29 Heavy gale S. East to S.W. first part of 24 hours with rain. Last part of 24 hours fresh breeze W. rain &
