15 [continued from previous page] visitors today - 2nd asst arrived at the station at 1.P.M. from Newport and brought some Oates for horses.

16: Light wind East to N. West these 24 hours with clear fine weather during 24 hours - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper and 1st asst went fishing - 2nd asst showed two visitors in the tower.

17: Light wind N.W. to moderate breeze W. to S.W. with frequent rain showers during 24 hours - Sea smooth. General duties for day - Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport after Oates - 1st asst went fishing - Keeper sold boat belonging to Pacific Sealing Company at Victoria - to Mr McDonald of Newport for the sum of $25.00 by order of said Sealing Company.

18: Light variable winds with light rain showers during first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light wind to moderate breeze N.W. fair weather - Sea smooth - 1st asst went fishing - Keeper & 2nd asst hauling Oates from Newport to Cape Foulweather today.

19: Light N.W. wind and calm first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light wind to moderate breeze N.W. clear fine weather - Sea very smooth - Keeper & 2nd asst hauling Oates & Wheat from Newport - 1st and 2nd assts also went fishing today.

20: Light N. West wind & clam first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light, East to N. West wind clear fine and warm, during 24 hours - Sea smooth - 1st asst went fishing - Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport and hauled wheat for chickens. Mr McDonald of Newport who bought the boat belonging to Pacific Sealing Co of Victoria and took it around to Newport today.

21: Light East to S. East wind these 24 hours first part of 24 hours clear fine and warm weather - Last part of 24 hours fair weather but a little heigh dry fog - Sea smooth - Keeper & 2nd asst hauling Wheat for chickens - 1st asst went fishing today.

22: Light South East wind first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind - Cloudy but dry most of 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - 1st asst went fishing - Keeper cleaning the burner preparing to change it monday - Keeper also went to Newport to attend at political meeting - Left the station at 1.P.M.

23: Light to N. West wind these 24 hours with heigh dry fog & cloudy during the 24 hours - Sea quite smooth. General duties for the day - 1st asst went fishing - Keeper returned to the station at 1 P.M.

24: Light N. West wind with clear fine weather during these 24 hours - Sea smooth - Steamer Willamett Valley arrived from San Francisco today - Keepers cleaning illuminating apparatus and changing burner - Keeper & 1st asst went fishing today.

25: Moderate to fresh and strong breeze East with clear dry and warm weather during 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper and 2nd asst cleaning and whitewashing hen house - 1st asst went fishing today.

26: Fresh to strong breeze East these 24 hours with clear fine and warm weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - 1st asst went to Newport on business today. Hoisted American Ensign on account of Mr Harrison's Death.

27: Fresh breeze East first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours moderate breeze S.E. to South - with clear fine and warm weather - Sea smooth - Steamer Willamett Valley sailed for San Francisco at 2 P.M. - 1st asst went fishing - The barometer is down to 29.90 at 2 P.M.

28: Moderate breeze to light S to S. East wind these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours little damp - Last part of 24 hours cloudy but dry - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper & 1st asst went fishing - 2nd asst went over on the beach hunting for water agets.

29: Light S. East wind these 24 hours with fair weather. Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Steamer Georg Chance arrived from Astoria. Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport after supplies - 1st asst went fishing - The barometer is down to 27.88 at 4. P.M.

30: Fresh to strong & moderate breeze S. East to S. West these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours rain showers - Last part of 24 hours cloudy but mostly fair weather - Sea moderately smooth - General duties for the day.
