31: Moderate breeze and light west to W. N. West these 24 hours with frequent rain showers most of the time - Sea very rough - General duties for the day. Keeper sawing wood - The barometer is up to 30.30 at 3.P.M.

November

1: Light variable winds first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind - First part cloudy but dry - Last part clear fine weather - Sea quite smooth - General duties for day - Keeper went to Newport on business - 1st asst went fishing today.

2: Light N. West wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours little cloudy - Last part of 24 hours clear fine weather. Sea very smooth - General duties for day - Keeper putting stove pipe in bedroom & went fishing - 1st asst went fishing & to Newport - 2nd asst also went fishing.

3: Light N. West wind these 24 hours - with clear fine & warm weather - Sea smooth - General duties for day - Keeper went fishing today.

4: Light variable winds & calm these 24 hours first part of 24 hours clear fine weather - Last part of 24 hours thick fog most of the time - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper and 1st asst sawing wood. The barometer is down to 30.5 at 2 P.M. - 2nd asst went to Newport today - Left the station at 1.30 P.M.

5: Moderate breeze S. to N. W. with rain during first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind with little cloudy but mostly fair weather - Sea moderately smooth - General duties for the day - Steamer Willamett Valley - arrived from San Francisco. Keeper sawing wood - 1st ass't wheeling cabbage from garden to the barn - 2nd asst, Isaac L. Smith arrived at the station at 3 P.M. Had 3 visitors today.

6: Light N. West wind these 24 hours with fair weather during 24 hours - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - 1st asst went fishing today - Had 3 visitors today - The barometer is down to 30.20 at 3.P.M.

7: Light N. W. to variable winds and calm these 24 hours little cloudy but fair weather - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Steamer Willamett Valley sailed for San Francisco today. Keeper sawing wood - 1st asst went fishing today.

8: Light S. E. to East & North wind these 24 hours first part of 24 hours little damp - Last part of 24 hours cloudy but dry. Sea smooth - Steamer George Chance arrived from the South - General duties for the day - Keepers went to Newport to vote today.

9: Light N. to E. & S. East wind these 24 hours with cloudy but dry first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light rain showers - Sea smooth - Keeper went over on the beach after wood. Keeper and 1st asst went fishing - 2nd asst & Keeper fixing a place to keep China Pheasants.

10: Light South wind with rain first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours thick damp fog - Sea quite rough - General duties for day - 1st asst went fishing and taking covers off of coal oil cases - Keeper and 2nd asst went to Newport on important business.

11: Light N.West wind first part of 24 hours with thick damp fog - Last part of 24 hours moderate to fresh breeze South with rain. Sea little rough - Keepers putting 200 Gallons of Mineral Oil in Oil room - 1st asst went hunting Geese - The barometer was down to 30.

12: Moderate & fresh breeze W. with frequent rain & hail squalls first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind clear fine weather - Sea quite rough - General duties for the day - 2nd asst went to Newport to see if his Uniform had come - 1st ass't packing up wood off the beach - Keeper went to Newport after supplies - Left the station at 9.30 A.M.

13: Light N. West to East wind with clear fine and cool weather first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light to moderate and fresh breeze South with fair weather - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day. Barometer down to 30. at 1 P.M. - Keeper returned to the Station at 1.30 P.M.

14: Gale to fresh & strong breeze S. to S. W. and West with rain & hail squalls first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours moderate breeze S. W. with rain showers - Sea very rough - General duties for the day - 1st asst went to Newport on business.
