August 19: Had twenty six visitors today - 1st asst showing visitors in tower - Also went fishing - Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport and hauled some hay.

20: Light variable winds and calm first part of 24 hours - Cloudy but dry & warm - Last part of 24 hours light N. West wind clear fine weather - Sea smooth - Had nine visitors - Keeper & 2nd asst hauling hay from Newport to station - 1st asst went fishing.

21: Light N. West to South wind these 24 hours with cloudy but dry weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - 1st asst went fishing and hoisting hay in barn - Keeper & 2nd asst hauling hay from Newport to Cape - Had ten visitors today.

22: Light South wind with thick fog showers first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours fair & warm weather - Sea suite rough - General duties for the day - Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport - Had 16 visitors - 1st asst showing visitors in the tower.

23: Moderate to fresh breeze N. W. these 24 hours first part of 24 hours fair weather - Last part of 24 hours thick damp fog - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - 1st asst showing visitors in tower - Had twenty three visitors - 2nd asst went to Newport - Steamer Willamette Vally sailed for Sanfrancisco today.

24: Fresh breeze to gale N. West these 24 hours with fair weather during 24 hours - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - 1st asst showing visitors in tower - Had twenty one visitors - Keeper and 2nd asst went to Newport today.

25: Fresh to stong breeze N. West these 24 hours with fair weather during 24 hours - Sea a little rough - General duties for the day - Had fourteen visitors - 2nd asst showing visitors in tower - Keeper digging potatoes - 1st asst went to Newport today.

26: Fresh to moderate breeze N. West these 24 hours with fair warm & smooky weather - Sea moderately smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper showing visitors in tower - Keeper & 1st asst working in garden - 1st asst also went fishing - Had thirty five visitors today.

27: Light S. East to South wind with thick damp fog during 24 hours - Sea quite rough - General duties for the day - Keeper went to Newport today - Had twelve visitors today - 1st and 2nd assts showing visitors in tower - 1st asst went fishing today - U.S. Steamer Manzanita passed by this light going north or south dont know which as it was very thick fog at the time - Manzanita passed the cape at 3:30 P.M. blew her whistle and 2nd asst hoisted the flag at the station.

West wind with thick damp fog during 24 hours - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - Had twenty six visitors today - 1st asst went fishing and showing visitors in tower - 2nd asst also showing visitors in tower - Steamer Manzanita crossed Yaquina Bay bar at 11:30 A.M. going into Newport.

29: Light wind to moderate and fresh breeze N. West these 24 hours with thick damp fog during 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Had seven visitors today - 2nd asst showing visitors in tower - Keeper digging potatoes - 1st asst went fishing and to Newport today.

30: Moderate breeze N. West with thick damp fog first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours fog lifted but quite smooky - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper went over to Newport and brought Lieut Blish Asst Inspector of lights for the 13th District to see the station - 2nd asst went to Newport this morning and also went over this afternoon to take Lieut Blish back to Newport - Had 14 visitors today.

31: Light S. East to South wind these 24 hours with thick damp fog during 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keepers putting 200 gallons of mineral oil in oil-room - 1st asst went fishing - Had sixteen visitors - Keeper repairing lock on tower door.

Sept 1: Light South wind with thick damp fog during 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper and 2nd asst went to Newport to take mail - Had six visitors - U.S. Steamer Manzanita left Newport for the north at 11:30 A.M. to try and get a whistling buoy off of the beach at Nestugaah bay - Ste Manzanita probably passed the cape at 12 noon but 1st asst did not see her pass.

2: Light South to variable winds and calm these 24 hours first part of 24 hours cloudy but dry weather - Last part of 24 hours clear fine and warm weather - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Keepers showing visitors in tower - Had 20 visitors - 1st Asst went fishing - 2nd Asst went cathering.
