June 5: Moderate breeze South these 24 hours first part of 24 hours little damp - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea very smooth - The barometer stands 29.82 - Keeper and 2nd asst cleaning and prepairing to paint the interior of the Lantern & Lenns & Watchroom - Steamer Willamette Valley arriving & crossed bar this morning.

6: Fresh to strong breeze to a gale South these 24 hours with frequent rain showers during 24 hours - Sea moderately smooth - Keeper & 2nd asst painting inside of Lantern white also ??? - Keeper also went to Newport after the mail.

7: Light S. West to West wind these 24 hours - first part of 24 hours light rain showers - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea smooth - Keeper and 2nd asst finished painting lantern - 2nd asst cleaning lenns frame to prepare it for painting - Keper went to Newport. Steamer Willammett Valley sailed today for Sanfrancisco.

8: Light S. East wind & calm these 24 hours - first part of 24 hours little damp - Last part of 24 fair & warm - Sea smooth - The barometer stand 29.90 - Keeper & 2nd asst painting the frame of the Lenns today.

9: Calm and light South wind and little damp first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours moderate to fresh breeze South with fair weather - Sea smooth - Keeper and 2nd asst completed painting the Lenns frame - Also brushing the loose whitewash off of the walls inside of the tower to get it in condition to rewhitewash.

10: Fresh to strong breeze South to S. West these 24 hours first part of 24 hours hard rain - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea quite rough - Keeper & 2nd asst painting lantern & watchroom floor - Also Whitewashing inside of tower & cleaning stairs & landings.

11: Fresh to moderate breeze S. West these 24 hours first part of 24 hours hard rain showers - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea quite rough - General duties for the day - Had fifteen visitors today.

12: Light variable winds with light rain showers first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light W. N. West wind & fair weather - Sea quite rough - Keeper & 2nd asst painting 1/2 of the stairs & landings - Also working in garden - Keeper went to Newport after mail - Keeper & 2nd asst also putting 200 Gall of oil in oil-room.

13: Light variable winds these 24 hours with fair weather during 24 hours - Sea quite smooth - Keeper and 2nd asst completed painting stairs & landings & window slats - Scrubbed hall oil-room floors & office floor & painted it - 2nd asst also working in garden.

14: Moderate and fresh breeze to gale these 24 hours first part of 24 hours light showers - Last part of 24 hours rain - Sea rough - Keeper and 2nd asst cleaning the lennes and inside of plate glass of lantern with amonnia & white diamond polish.

15: Light variable winds these 24 hours with fair weather during 24 hours - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper went to Newport to make the property return to Inspector - Keeper also went claming.

16: Light variable winds to moderate breeze South to S. West and West these 24 hours with rain - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper went & got a sythe to cut the grass inside of the yard - Keeper also went fishing - Keeper & 2nd asst cut a little grass this evening.

17: Light variable winds and calm with fair weather first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours moderate breeze South with some rain showers rest of 24 hours fair weather - Sea smooth - Steamer Willamette Valley arrived & crossed the bar at 4 A.M. - Keeper cutting grass inside of yard - 2nd asst also cleaning weeds out of walk - Keeper hoeing potatoes - 1st asst went fishing today.

West these 24 hours with clear fine weather - Sea very smooth - Mr. Rice's eye is getting along as well as can be expected - Keeper & 2nd Asst. cleaining the weeds out of the brick walk - Keeper also went fishing - Steamer Villamette Valley sailed today for San Francisco.
