19: Light East to South wind these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours thick fog. Last part of 24 hours cloudy and light rain showers. Sea rough. Steamer Alcatraz laying off the bar waiting for the sea to go down to enter Yaquina bar. Keepers cleaning out chimney in Keeper's dwelling. Keeper also working in shop. Barometer down to 29.90.

20: Light S. East to variable winds these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours rain. Last part of 24 hours cloudy and fair weather. Sea rough. General duties for day. Str Alcatraz still laying off the bar waiting until it gets smooth to enter. Barometer 30.02 today.

21: Light wind to moderate breeze N.West these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours thick fog. Last part of 24 hours fair weather. Sea rough. General duties for the day. Keeper went to Newport after supplies. 1st asst went fishing. Barometer 30.10.

22: Light East to North wind these 24 hours with clear, fine weather. Sea smooth. Keepers cleaning and polishing all brass work today. Steamer Farallon started to go out over Yaquina bar. But turned and went back into Newport. Str Alcatraz crossed in over the bar. Barometer down to 29.80 today. 1st asst went fishing.

23: Light wind to moderate and fresh breeze North these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours high dry fog. Last part of 24 hours fair and cooler weather. Sea little rough. 1st asst went fishing. General duties for the day. Keeper working in garden. Barometer 29.88 today. Had one visitors today. Capt W.L. Fisk arrived at the station at 3 P.M. Inspected station and left for Newport at 3.30 P.M.
