12: Moderate breeze to gale S.W. to South these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours rain showers. Last part of 24 hours light rain showers. Sea rough. Barometer 29.70. General duties for day.

13: Gale South these 24 hours with light rain showers. Sea rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 29.80 to 29.60 today.

14: Gale South to S.East these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours rain showers. Last part of 24 hours hard rain. Sea very rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 29.70 to 29.45. 1st asst went to Newport after mail & supplies.

15: Gale to fresh and moderate breeze South first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours moderate breeze N.West with hard rain during 24 hours. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. 2nd asst went over to the monterey, left at 11 A.M. returned 3.30 P.M.

16: Moderate breeze to light N.West to N.East and East wind these 24 hours with frequent rain & hail showers. Sea very smooth. General duties for day. Keeper went to Newport after supplies. 1st asst went fishing. Barometer 29.54. Strs Farallon & Alcatraz sailed for San Francisco today.

17: Moderate breeze to light wind N. to East these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours rain showers. Last part of 24 hours fair weather. Sea smooth. Keepers repairing conductors on Dwelling. Barometer 30.00 today.

18: Light N. East wind with rain first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light wind to mdoerate breeze North with fair and cool weather. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. 1st asst went to Newport after supplies & mail. Keeper painting flower pots. Barometer 30.00 to 30.05 today.

19: Light East wind and calm to fresh breeze East with clear, fine and cold weather. Sea very smooth. Keeper cleaning out chicken house. 1st asst digging ditch in garden and went fishing. Keeper & 2nd asst repairing lock on Tower door. Barometer 29.70 today.

20: Fresh breeze East fair weather and rain first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours fair weather & cool. Sea very smooth. General duties for the day. Keeper working in the shop. 1st asst laying drain from his kitchen and went fishing. Barometer 29.74 today.

21: Fresh breeze to gale East S.E. and South these 24 hours with hard rain during 24 hours. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. Keeper painting flower pots for Mrs Plummer. Barometer down to 29.20 today.

22: Gale to fresh breeze S. to N.West first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds with rain showers during 24 hours. Sea quite rough. Keeper started to Newport the reakers on beach was two rough and he had to come back. Keeper and assts putting 200 Gallons of Oil in Oil room. Barometer 29.75 today.

23: Light variable winds with light rain showers first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light North wind, fair weather. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport after supplies. Barometer down to 29.70.

24: Light East to North wind these 24 hours, fair and cold weather. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. Light House Tender Manzanita passed by this Light at 8.30 A.M., crossed into Yaquina, placed a byou on the bar, crossed out at 1 P.M. and steamed north. Barometer 29.76. 2nd asst cleaning Oil cans, measures, etc.

25: Light N.East wind these 24 hours, first part of 24 hours dry & cold. Last part of 24 hours light snow and hail squalls. Sea very smooth. General duties for the day. 1st asst went to Newport after mail and supplies & went fishing. Barometer 29.80 today.

26: Light wind to moderate breeze North first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light East wind with clear, fine but cold weather. Sea smooth. General duties for day. 1st asst went fishing. Barometer 30.10. Str Farallon arrived & crossed into Yaquina at 6 A.M.

27: Frsh breeze EAt these 24 hours with clear and cold weather. Sea smooth. General duties for day. Barometer 30.10. Str Farallon sailed for San Francisco at 6 A.M.

November 15: 2nd asst went over to "the monterey." Found a reference to the "Monterey trestle" on the Yaquina RR: https://oregondigital.org/catalog/oregondigital:5138jf09k
Also, within this article: the Monterey was a hotel,
"The second big trestle, and the largest on the line, was the Monterey Trestle, so named for the Monterey Hotel that was located on Big Creek, just west of the structure. The fill that Highway 101 crosses Big Creek on is located at the same location where the trestle formerly stood. This is the fill just north of today’s Best Western Agate Beach Inn."
