17: Fresh to moderate breeze S. rain and thick foggy weather. Sea rough. General duties for day. Barometer 30.25 to 30.30 today.

18: Light South wind these 24 hours with rain and thick damp fog. Sea quite rough. 1st and 2nd Assts went to Newport after supplies & mail. Keeper & 1st Asst went fishing. Had two visitors. Barometer 30.40 today.
