1: Light wind to fresh breeze S.E. to South first part of 24 hours - with rain - Last part of 24 hours gale South & S. West to moderate breeze. West rain showers & fair weather - Sea quite smooth - Barometer 30.10 to 29.64 - General duties for the day - Keeper writing in Office.

2: Gale and fresh breeze S.W. & West these 24 hours with frequent rain and hail squalls - Sea quite rough - Had three visitors - general duties for day - Barometer 29.66 General duties for the day. Barometer 29.66.

3: Fresh breeze W. S. W. to light S. East wind rain and hail squalls - these 24 hours - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.44 - 2nd asst went to Newport after mail and supplies - 1st asst went fishing.

4: Fresh breeze S. West first part of 24 hours - Last part of 24 hours light variable winds with frequent rain hail and snow squalls during 24 hours - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 29.44 to 29.70 today - 2nd asst working in his quarters.

17: Light North wind to fresh breeze East these 24 hours with clear fine weather - Sea quite smooth - 1st asst went fishing - Barometer 30.03 - Keeper went to Newport after mail and supplies - 2nd asst doing house and other work.

19: Light East wind these 24 hours with fair weather - Sea quite smooth - Barometer 29.85 - 2nd asst working in the shop and went up the North Beach for recreation. 1st asst went to Newport after supplies and fishing - Keeper doing house work.

January 20 Light variable winds these 24 hours with fair weather Sea smoother 1st asst went fisher. 2nd assistant getting wood off the beach. Keeper went for a short walk. Barometer 29.80

January 21: Moderate breeze to light East wind first part of 24 hours with cloudy & fair weather. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds fair weather. Sea smooth. Barometer 29.8. Keeper washing 1st asst went fishing and working in house. 2nd asst packing up off the beach & working in his quarters.

February, 1901 1: Light North wind dry and cool these 24 hours also clear- Sea smooth- Barometer 50.20 to 29.98- 2nd asst working in shop and doing house work- N.W. Keeper writing in Office- 1st asst went fishing- Mr. Wiltshire laying drain pipe from cistern.

2: Fresh breeze and gale first part of 24 hours- Last part of 24 hours fresh to ??? breeze N.W. with frequent rain and hail squalls- Sea rough- Barometer 29.45- 2nd asst. went to Newport after mail and supplies- Keeper and 1st asst. pumping and cleaning water out of Keepers bistern?- Mr. Wiltshire and man digging drain from cistern and laying pipe.

3: Moderate breeze N.W. to light East wind these 24 hours- Last part of 24 hours with far and cool weather- Sea smooth- General duties for the day. Barometer 29.45 to 29.65- 1st asst. went fishing. Keeper doing house work- 2nd asst. doing house work and went for a short walk.
