February 17: Light S. east wind to fresh breeze and gale South with rain first part of 24 hours- Last part of 24 hours light west wind frequent light rain showers--Sea very rough- Barometer 29.34 to 29.94- General duties for the day- 2nd assistant cutting wood for keeper & assts.

18: Light south to S. east wind these 24 hours- First part of 24 hours light rain showers- Last part of 24 hours fair and warmer weather- Sea quite rough. General duties for day. Barometer 30.00. Keeper went to Newport after mail & supplies. 2nd asst cutting wood.

19: Light east wind these 24 hours with fair weather. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 30.00 to 29.54 2nd asst cutting wood. Keeper went one mile from sta to se about cutting wood. 1st asst went to Newport after mail + supplies.

20: Fresh breeze to light south wind these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours hard rain. Last part of 24 hours clear and fine weather. Sea very rough. Barometer 29.55 to 29.96. General duties for the day. Keeper working shop. 2nd asst went to Newport after mail + supplies.

21: Light wind to fresh breeze east these 24 hours with clear fine and warm. Sea quite rough. Barometer 30.00 to 29.58 today. General duties for day. 1st asst and Keeper working in garden. 2nd asst went to Toledo for recreation. Left the sta at 1 P.M.

22: Fresh breeze N. to light S. east wind these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours fair. Last part of 24 hours little damp and fair. Sea moderately smooth. Keeper planting garden. Barometer 29.50 to 29.72. 1st asst went fishing. 2nd asst returned to the sta at 11 A.M.

23: Moderate + fresh breeze S. to S. east and east these 24 hours with frequent rain showers. Sea rough. General duties for the day. 1st asst went fishing. Barometer 29.72 to 29.40. Keeper completing annual requisition for supplies.

24: Moderate breeze S. to S. west first part of 24 hours with rain. Last part of 24 hours fresh breeze S. west with frequent rain showers. Sea rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 29.40 to 19.55. Keeper making out monthly reports to Inspector and Engineer.

25: Light wind to fresh breeze and gale south these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours hard rain. Last part of 24 hours frequent rain showers. Sea rough. Barometer 29.50 to 28.86. 1st asst went to Newport after mail + supples. 2nd asst putting alabastine on walls in his quaters.

26 Fresh breeze and gale S. west these 24 hours with frequent rain and hail squalls and lightning - Sea very rough - Barometer 29.02 to 29.42 - Keeper went to Newport after mail & supplies - 2nd asst putting alabastine on walls of his quarters.

27 Fresh breeze S. west these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours rain hail squalls and lightning - Last part of 24 hours fair weather - Sea very rough - Barometer 29.30 to 29.60 - 2nd asst putting alabastine on walls in his quarters - Keeper writeing in office.
